What is Indigenous DNA?
The world's first autosomal search database
Indigenous DNA is a free public service provided by Genebase.
First launched in 2005, Genebase provides private ancestral DNA testing through a web 2.0 platform. As of December 31, 2008, Genebase had reached a membership volume of over 900,000 participants around the world and its membership is growing rapidly. Members on Genebase can use its many free features, including the world's first web 2.0 family tree, photo sharing, groups, journals, and much more. Users on Genebase can make use of its many research tools to search for genetic matches and research their deep ancestry (haplogroups). Genebase provides the largest panel of markers in the industry, including the 91 marker Y-DNA STR test and a large selection of SNP backbone and subclade panels for individuals wishing to dig deeper.

Indigenous DNA is part of an ambitious project to make the DNA data from all published research journals immediately searchable by anyone. You enter your DNA data and Indigenous DNA uses its built in algorithms and growing collection of journals to compute the journals which contain data most relevant to your DNA type.
Indigenous DNA is a free public service which allows people who have tested at any laboratory in the world to upload their markers for free and start searching. Indigenous DNA is a Genebase application and members of Genebase have automatic access to Indigenous DNA features.
If you have not tested yet, order your test at Genetrack.
